Mrs. Dimitra Poutouri is a graduate of Computer Engineering and a holder of the interdisciplinary Postgraduate Master of Science in «Law and Informatics» organized by the Department of Applied Informatics, University of Macedonia and the Law School of the Dimokriteion University of Thrace.
She was hired from the Hellenic Police in 2003 and served at the Hellenic Police Headquarters for a decade as a Network Security Expert. Since 2012 she serves as a Digital Forensic Specialist in the Forensics Science Sub-Division of Northern Greece. During her career, she has received numerous training in European and international organizations, conducts laboratory investigations for cybercrime, and prepares expert reports, as a State Expert Witness of Digital Forensics. She has been awarded two Moral Rewards by the Hellenic Police Headquarters for winning a high place in the annual NATO advanced international cyber defense exercise named “Locked Shields”.
Her scientific interests focus on the legal issues that arise from the interaction of Legal Science with Digital Forensics and the legal challenges facing the field of digital evidence investigation due to the rapid development of technology.
At the same time
- she voluntarily participates as a writing member in the multinational and interdisciplinary cyber defense projects of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE),
- is an Official Evaluator of the European Commission's Financing Programs for Start-ups and Small and Medium Enterprises for products or services related to IT Innovations, Cybersecurity, and Forensics,
- is as peer review coach in the Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) certification of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) and
- participated in the Bournemouth University interdisciplinary team as a Digital Forensic Specialist in a European Intellectual Property Organization (EU-IPO) project on combating cyberpiracy.
